Need less politics and more policies

By Letter to the Editor on April 13, 2019.

I am getting so sick of this election.

I had emergency surgery last night and they sent some cultures for cancer testing.

I would have died at home alone if it wasn’t for a person named Tommy Douglas.

I have been saying for about 15 years, we need less politics and more policies for the people. This election is about the citizens of Alberta and not about power hungry egos.

We need to go back to the days when politicians knew serving the people isn’t about them and it never was.

“Statesman” Douglas knew there would be a day when someone, someday would need emergency surgery and know that person would be treated for cancer if they needed it.

“What you do for yourself dies with you. What you do for others will live forever.”

Do you mean Les like we had under Lougheed when he collected proper royalties, proper taxes, along with health care premiums and ran this province properly , while building up the Heritage Trust Fund for our children’s future? Too bad ignorant Albertans let Klein, Stelmach and Redford destroy it all and are now hell bent on electing another Reformer, not a conservatives to carry on where Klein left off destroying us, and they’re just too dumb to understand what Kenney’s policies will do to them, and all of us..

You nailed it Les. Watching Kenney feed the lie that the Carbon Tax will financially destroy all us while these ignorant seniors believed it, was very disturbing. Apparently they weren’t smart enough to ask the intelligent question “If it’s such a disaster why hasn’t financially destroyed the people in Sweden where it’s been in place since 1991, and working well. Why hasn’t it financially destroyed my B.C. relatives where it’s been in place since 2008 and the Simon Fraser University study states “The shocking truth about B.C.’s Carbon Tax it works”.
