Re: “Tweet read round Alberta’,” Jan. 29 This account of Christ’s Church at Medicine Hat reminds me of Jesus’ words to the Pharisees’ disciples and Herodians: “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” Mat. 22:21 KJV It begs the question: Is the Church rendering unto Caesar things which are not Caesar’s? Or is the Church rendering unto God some things which are Caesar’s? There seems to be some confusion here. For example, why did a member of a Christian church seek out a godless political party in an effort to meet the financial woes of its Church’s business plan? And why did this church seek an additional $50,000 from its body of believers when Jesus has called on His Church to believe on Him for the sole source of its strength and supply through faith and prayer? The answer to these questions may be found in the following verse: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Tim 4:1 KJV John Stanley Medicine Hat 8
Does anybody know what this is about?
