Surely I am not the only one who has noticed the federal government now owns a piece of every media outlet in Canada to the tune of $600 million. The public relations arm of the Liberal government just grew by a magnitude of 10. The media, of course, are beating their breasts, gnashing their teeth and tearing their clothes bleating that they will still behave as a free unbiased press when reporting on the latest antics of their political masters. If you believe that, hoo boy, do I have a deal for you — a barely used bridge and, if you are interested, some very lucrative marshland. Plus how can they be free at a cost of $600 million? That kind of free reminds me of those free submarines “we” bought from the Brits. well of course, hat better way to control the media than to own the media, with a bailout.
They will probably only release stories that do not show the government as a bunch of manipulative assholes, that only thing they care about are THEIR agenda, and they do not care about the people.
