Wagner repeats as men’s champ

Kyle Wagner’s team defended its title at the 114th annual Men’s Bonspiel at the Medicine Hat Curling Club this past weekend.

On Sunday, Wagner, with Correy Perrin, Jason Kunz and Greg Sjolie, beat the Darcy Geigle team 6-3 in six ends of the A final.

Lloyd Robinson and Alex Bowyer’s foursomes wound up in third place.

In the B event it was Trevor Funk’s rink including Travis Funk, Jordan Kindrat and John Owsjanikow outdoing Kevin Aberle’s. Leon Moch and Lethbridge’s Josh Kroker were third.

Jeff Bodin edged Jim Seitz’s team 7-5 in the C final. Matt Heller, Ryan O’Reilly and Doug Thompson rounded out that winning foursome. Keaton Sulz and Dave Kowalchuk were third.

Finally, the Sabre Security team of Dennis Koch, Denton Koch, Colton Koch and Bryden Smith beat out Delvin Moch in the D final. Allen Krein and Dale Fontaine were the third-place teams.
