She returned to Medicine Hat and began teaching at St. Mary’s School where she remained for her entire career. On July 6, 1974, she married Rob in Medicine Hat and they spent 41 wonderful years together. In 2005, after 33 years of teaching she retired from full-time teaching and began substitute teaching. Due to her illness she retired completely in January of 2014. In 2007, Bonnie’s world changed. Her grandson Jack was born and a bond between the two was formed and treasured by both.
