Barbara Ressler of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late George Ressler, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 12th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Loring Adolph Piehl, beloved husband of Edna Piehl of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Loring also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Darrell Piehl (Betty Carbert), Brenda Piehl and Loreen Piehl-Wiedemann (Barry Wiedemann); six grandchildren, Lloyd Piehl, Sarah Piehl, Jennifer (Ryan) Matt, Loring Wiedemann, Victor Wiedemann, Rachel Wiedemann; one great grandchild, Roan; one brother-in-law, Gordon (Anna) Brown; special friends, Debbie Ross and Leila Wright; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Loring was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Cora Piehl; and two sisters, Glendoris (Eric) Haggman and Ethel (Ysbrand) Vander Linden. Rose Fauth of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alexander Fauth, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jeanette (Jerry) Koch of Medicine Hat; five sons, Ron (Terry) of Calgary, Henry (Louise) of Saint John, New Brunswick, Len (Irene) of Medicine Hat, Rick (Carol) of Burstall, Saskatchewan and Joe (Paula) of Coleville, Saskatchewan; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Phillip (Mona) Baron; and sisters-in-law, Mina and Jane Baron. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Alex Fauth; her parents, Valentine and Monica Baron; two sisters, Tillie (John) and Monica; five brothers, Ralph (Mary), Ludwig (Aggie), Matt, Joe and John (Rose). Rose was born in Leader, Saskatchewan in December 14th, 1924. She attended Monmouth Country School. Rose married Alex January 1947 and together they raised six children. They farmed in the Burstall, Saskatchewan area, then moved to Hilda, Alberta and later to Richmound, Saskatchewan to farm. In 1967 they moved to Valjean, Saskatchewan where Alex bought grain for NM Patterson and Sons. They moved back to Burstall in 1971 where they farmed, Alex bought grain and they became the custodians for the Burstall School. Alex and Rose retired in 1985 and moved to Medicine Hat. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Friday, September 19th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Philip Le, celebrant. A private interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. Our Mom, Thelma Marie Lorentzon went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 surrounded by the love of her four children. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Fred Lorentzon in July 2007. Over the past two months since her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, Mom continued to show us a life full of courage, humour, grace and dignity. Her memory will be cherished by son, Wade Lorentzon; daughters, Lori (Neil) Bonesky, Jolene (Andrew) Au Coin and Mavis (Ron) Sautner. Thelma is also adored by her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jami Lorentzon, Brady and Lena (Ida and Mila) Lorentzon, Cameron and Amanda (Rowan and Flint) Lorentzon, Brennan and Lori (Cohen, Cara and Caleb) Bonesky, Amber and Jesse (Makala and Olivia) Wideman, Chelsey (Jesse Frey) Au Coin, Logan Au Coin, Zac Sautner and Tanner Sautner. Mom came from a large and loving family, one of eight siblings and their families, who will all miss her dearly. Friends meant the world to our mama, and she gave her love freely to each one of them. Edmund Tschritter, beloved husband of Violet Tschritter of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Edmund also leaves to cherish his memory his son, Alan (Cathy) Tschritter of Medicine Hat; daughter-in-law, Cathy (Mark) Hartwig of Medicine Hat; one grandson, Michael Tschritter; one brother, Otto Tschritter of Medicine Hat; one sister, Ida Weiland of Medicine Hat; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Marlene) Roth and Norman (Marie) Roth; sisters-in-law, Emma Tschritter, Jane (Ralph) Grubel and Rachel Wirsch; as well numerous nieces and nephews. Edmund was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Augustina Tschritter; and one son, Eugene Tschritter. Edmund was a salesperson for Electrolux for many years. He loved meeting and helping new people, especially the elderly. Emil Kuntz, beloved husband of Elsie Kuntz, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, September 15, 2014, at the age of 92 years. Emil was born on May 3, 1922 in Richmound, Saskatchewan and this is also where he was raised and grew up. Emil was a man of great character and wore many different hats throughout the years, however, he worked as a trucker for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to go camping, fishing, playing cribbage and loved doing wonderword puzzles. Emil will be deeply missed by his wife Elsie; two daughters: Brenda (Arnold) Martinson and their two children, Jessica and Graydon (Kristina) and their son, Gage; and Sherry (Tony) Morrison as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Margaretta Kuntz and eleven siblings. Emil’s life will be celebrated at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Terry Olson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery and thereafter a reception will take place in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
