Donna Madeline Tennant of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alec Tennant, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Donna leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Garda (Dick) Davies; one son, Jim (Bernie) Tennant, both of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren, Donna (Humphrey) Van Eerde, Glenn (Julie) Davies, Cheryl (Doug) Bader, Carol (Gord) Charlebois, Brett (Cindy Scott) Tennant and Jason Tennant; six great-grandsons, David and Kevin Van Eerde, Michael Charlebois, Max Davies, Justin and Curtis Bader; one sister, Betty Mae Wyatt of Apple Valley, California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA. Donna was predeceased by her husband, Alec (1993); her mother, Alberta; her stepfather, Reg Campbell; her father, Chester Morrison; as well as her brothers, Jackie and Chester Morrison. Donna was born in Fort MacLeod on January 28th, 1920 to Chester and Alberta Morrison. She attended school in Frank and L.C.I. in Lethbridge. She married Alec Tennant on December 10th, 1938. They resided in Lethbridge until a job transfer took them to Medicine Hat in 1951, where she has continued to reside. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, July 10th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with The Reverend Canon D. Gene Packwood officiating. A Private Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Mr. James “Jim” Wilfred Rath, beloved husband and soulmate of Mrs. Inez Rath of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Jim also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Rocky, Gene and Carrie; son-in-law, Dean; grandchildren, Darnyll (Lance) and Shareen; great grandson, Ethan (aka little stinker); sister, Winny; sisters-in-law, Jane (Ralph) and Irene (Balzar); and beloved pets, Daisy and Mark. Jim is also remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Emily; step-mother, Tillie; daughter, Charlene; son-in-law, Farley; one brother, Dixon; and parents-in-law, Phillip and Annie. Jim was born in Medicine Hat on September 15, 1934. In his younger years he was involved with the Rodeo with broncs and bulls. From an early age he was involved in farming; while also driving school bus for many years in Irvine. He retired from farming to Medicine Hat in 1972 where he drove gas truck to surrounding area farmers until his retirement in 2002. Jim enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and tinkering and fixing items. He was always joking, telling stories—fact or fiction—of long ago. His most pleasurable times were spent surrounded by his family and friends. A private graveside service will be held at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery. Mr. Alfred Robert Beierbach of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Alfred leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sandra Beierbach; one daughter, Stella (Sheldon Hill) Sehn; three beautiful grandchildren, Marley Hill, Sierra Hill and his little muffin, Lauren Hill; one brother, Adolf (June) Beierbach; one sister, Ruth Johnson; and nieces and nephews, Sheldon, Cheyenne, Evert, Barry, Craig and Shawna. .BELL (KING), ALLIE E.
The family of Allie E. Bell (King), with great sadness announces the passing of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on the 10th of June.
She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband John (Jack) Bell. She will be greatly missed by son George (Heather), daughter Sharon Narrow (Frank), grandchildren Stephen (Heather), Geordon, Sandra McCormack (Kyle) and their son Alasdair Graham and daughter Elizabeth Allie.
Allie was born June 1, 1920 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Over the years, Allie was involved with IODE, Eastern Star, Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary, and was a CGIT leader.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Medicine Hat on July 31st at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church in White Rock, B.C.

.EDNA EBELHER
June 17, 1929 – July 5, 2014
With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Edna Ebelher. She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Jacob and Calla; her twin sister, Ella Bitz; five sisters-in-law, Hilda Losing, Maureen Losing, Betty Goodwin, Rose Ebelher and Helen Ebelher as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Christian Losing; husband Adam; her son Leonard; four brothers, Christian, William, Henry and Karl Losing; three sisters, Lydia Oster, Paulina Leicht and Anna Bruggencate. Edna was the youngest of nine children born to in Consort, Alberta. She was raised on the family farm, attended Jewett School and Hanna High School. She married Adam Ebelher on April 17, 1949 in Coronation and then they moved to Medicine Hat. Leonard completed their family in 1961. Edna was an avid bowler and she enjoyed volunteering, needlepoint, quilting and crocheting. She will be greatly missed. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Philip Le celebrant. A private interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Michael Steve Kaspersky passed away in his home in Medicine Hat, AB., on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Mike was born on April 21, 1953, in Athabasca, AB., to Stefan and Elizabeth Kaspersky. He is survived by his two sisters, Agnes McIntyre and Hildegard Kaspersky as well as two daughters, Angela (Ted) Anton and Stephanie Kaspersky. Mike was known for his love of movies, betting on the horses and his enthusiastic interest in real estate. He enjoyed spending time discussing the ins and outs of the local real estate market and was always keen to be the first to know how much a property sold for as well as new business openings and closings. A Graveside Service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Friday, July 11, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. Those attending the Graveside Service should gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to join in the procession to graveside. Helen Agnes Penner passed away peacefully in the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 7, 2014, at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest Penner. She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Margaret Marieno, Rosella Michalezki and Jean Blundell all of Medicine Hat; Shirley (Roy) Liden of Port Coquitlam, B.C. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her mother Adelaide (Fred) Bazguri and her father, Joseph Curtis; her husband, Ernest on November 30, 2003; three brothers-in-law, Dave Marieno, Paul Michalezki and Grant Blundell; one sister Evelyn in infancy; one nephew, one niece and a great nephew.
