Mrs. Evelyn Degenhardt of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Philip Degenhardt, passed away on Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 at the age of 92 years. Raymond Gerald Deering, beloved husband of Edith “Edie” Gorzo of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at the age of 61 years. Raymond also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Dan Deering (Colette) and Sandon Deering; and his father, Arthur Deering. Mrs. Diane Meier, beloved wife of Jim Meier, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the age of 64 years. Along with Jim, she leaves to cherish her memory one son, Richard; granddaughter, Hannah and Hannah’s mother Marlaina (Rod) Beauchamp; brothers, Howard and Donnie (Cheryl) Kaye; sister, Vicky (Reed) Perrin; brother-in-law, Danny (Cindy) Meier and sister-in-law, Patti Meier as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her son, Kelly; parents, Marjory and Art Kay as well as sisters, Joy Buciuk and Beth Magee. A come and go celebration of Diane’s life will be held at the Southside Events Centre, 4 Strachan Court S.E., Medicine Hat on Thursday, January 9, 2014, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. A tribute to Diane will be shared shortly after 1:00 p.m. and at any time throughout the celebration, those attending are invited to share a memory at the mic if they wish.
