Mrs. Eileen Rieger (nee Bernhart, formerly Heck) of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at the age of 77 years. The Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Matthew Emmelkamp, celebrant. A private family interment will follow in the Roman Catholic at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. It is with sadness that the family of Betty Pearl Foster, beloved wife of the late Robert Foster, announce her passing while at South Country Village, Monday, September 30, 2013, at the age of 89 years. .Last Saturday at Cook’s Chapel, family and friends of Margaret Sakamoto came together to celebrate her life and honour her memory. Margaret’s family ensured that everyone attending would have special memories to take with them. Through their warm welcome, words of tribute and special musical selections, family honoured the life of this much beloved lady. A beautiful pictorial display greeted those who attended the luncheon after the service, and the sharing of stories and fellowship continued on into the afternoon.

It is with sadness that the family of Cliff Ainsworth announces his sudden passing at the age of 72 years. His loving, generous spirit will be missed by his wife, Patricia; son, Jason (Robyn) Ainsworth; daughter, Michele (Tyson) Josey; and son, Hagan (Katie) Ainsworth; and grandchildren, Cooper, Isabela, Chloe and Nicholas. 1983 ~ 2013
Dillon Troy Guckert, beloved son of Helen and Elliott Guckert, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2013, at the age of 30 years. Along with his mother and father, Dillon’s memory will live on in the heart of his grandmother, Fanny Guckert, as well as the hearts of his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Arnold and Nora Peterson; grandfather, Jack Guckert and one uncle, Harvey Guckert. Dillon’s smile brightened the room. He loved the outdoors, especially when the wind was blowing in his face and his favorite tunes were playing in the background. Dillon enjoyed swimming, bowling, and time spent with Dad watching his Roughriders play on TV.
