Transport truck catches fire southwest of Dunmore

A transport truck carrying bales of hay caught fire on Monday afternoon, causing the detour of traffic along Township Road 120 southwest of Dunmore in the late afternoon.

Plumes of black smoke emanating from the vehicle near Range Road 53 could be seen from as far away as Redcliff at about 2:45 p.m. as Cypress County fire crews and an ambulance attended the scene. Traffic was blocked from Black and White Trail south of the city to Range Road 52, about two miles to the east.
