Operation Christmas Child accepting donations

Children in Costa Rica open their Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Shoebox drop-offs will be accepted in Medicine Hat beginning next week.

Operation Christmas Child is again collecting toys, school supplies and hygiene items, as well as personal notes and photos to fill shoeboxes to send underprivileged children abroad this Holiday Season.

Hatters will be able to drop off items at the First Assembly of God and Hillcrest Evangelical churches from Nov. 18-24.

The hours for First Assembly of God are:

* Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

* Nov. 19 and 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

* Nov. 22, 6-9 p.m.

* Nov. 23, 1-4 p.m.

* Nov. 24, 1:30-9 p.m.

And for Hillcrest:

* Nov. 18, 1-4 p.m.

* Nov. 19 and 20, 1-8 p.m.

* Nov. 21, 22 and 23, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

* Nov. 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
