Santa Claus back in the Hat on Saturday for annual parade

Santa will make a special stop in Medicine Hat tonight to join his helpers and the rest of the community in spreading Christmas cheer during the “Santa Claus is coming to Town” parade hosted by the Medicine Hat News Santa Claus Fund and sponsored by IG Wealth Management.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. from the Big Marble Go Centre and will travel south along Division Avenue N., down Altawana Drive along Maple Avenue and Allowance Avenue toward the Medicine Hat Mall via Dunmore Road.

Individuals, businesses and community groups are welcome to participate in the parade for free as long as their vehicle is fully decorated. Any last-minute participants are asked to call Deanna at the Santa Claus Fund at 403-528-9900.

Annually dozens of local groups, first responders, sport organizations and businesses participate in the parade that includes hundreds of festive lights and coloured floats leading up to the appearance of Santa.
