The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede announced the Night Shows for summer 2026 on Tuesday, planning a pair of star-studded evenings to remember.
This year, tickets go on sale Dec. 1, both in packages and as individual purchases. MHES general manager Ron Edwards stressed that it was very important to him and the greater Stampede team to get tickets available before Christmas.
“They make great Christmas gifts and that’s what we’re looking for,” said Edwards. “It’s the first time we’ve also put individual tickets on at the same time as packages, but there’s lots of competition out there and we want to be in front of that.”
This is also the first year that individual tickets are on sale at the same time as ticket packages.
The 2026 shows will be Tom Cochrane with Barney Bentall on July 22 and Johnny Reid with Morgan Klaiber on July 25. Edwards suggested that as a result of bringing in just two Night Shows this year, they may move their Thursday rodeo to be a night rodeo, but final schedule details won’t be solidified until early next year.
MHES says it is thrilled to be bringing in two large acts for the coming Stampede week and looks forward to making the event yet again one that prioritizes fun and the community.
Edwards took the moment to thank the staff, sponsors and volunteers for their ongoing effort to keep the 365-day operation running smoothly for not just Stampede week, but the many events that take place on the grounds throughout the year.
