Downtown will be a vision of colour and creativity on Saturday as Art in Motion returns.

Starting at noon, First Street will be filled with various artists demonstrating their craft, chances to create at hands-on stations and more than 40 vendors selling one of a kind creations, crafts and food, as well as live music and entertainment from different groups and performers.

The outdoor stage by the Esplanade and Medicine Hat Public Library will feature bands like Danczilla and Sidechick, as well as a Bollywood dance showcase by Karima Essa and a multicultural fashion show presented by Saamis Immigration.

Art in Motion will invite participants to make a beautiful mess with window painting, giant pendulum painting, community mural and a graffiti wall with Jeff Goring, as well as opportunities to simply play during the colour blast pigment fight. Inside, those attending can enjoy In Time, an immersive historical experience at the Ewart-Duggan House.

New this year is 4-on-4 ball hockey downtown in support of the YMCA, with 10 teams and non-stop energy.

The event will run from noon to 5 p.m.
