– Santa Claus will be visiting Medicine Hat next Friday as the Medicine Hat News Santa Claus Fund Town Parade begins next Friday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m., leaving from the Big Marble Go Centre and ending at the Medicine Hat Mall.
– Members of the Suffield Fire Department will be collecting toys on Saturday Dec. 7 in the Walmart parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
– On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Santa Claus Fund is hosting its annual Christmas Lobby Party at the Medicine Hat Lodge that includes pictures with Santa and his elves, Christmas crafts, a colouring contest, popcorn and hot chocolate.
The event is free for all families, however a toy or cash donation toward the Santa Claus Fund is highly encouraged. The event will also feature booths in the lobby selling handmade and artisan goods.
– The always popular annual Santa Claus Fund auction is set for Dec. 12 at DayzOff Pub. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favourite Christmas attire. The live-auction evening event also includes a silent auction, 50/50 and a raffle.
– Next week Gas City CrossTraining is hosting a 24-hour workout Christmas toy drive starting Dec. 13 and ending Dec. 14. Toys can be dropped off at the training facility up until Dec. 14.
– On Friday Dec. 6, the Santa Claus Fund partnered with Wendy’s in Medicine Hat and Redcliff. The fast food chain donated $1.50 for every combo sold.
