The photos of 16 learning assistants within the Medicine Hat Catholic School Board were posted online to celebrate National Education Assistant Day on Friday.
On Sept. 27 learning assistants are recognized for their role in maintaining safe and productive learning environments as well as providing students care and comfort and support for classroom teachers.
This year the division highlighted gave each learning assistant a unique superpower that best reflects their strengths and themed them as educational superheroes.
This year we want to celebrate the incredible range of superpowers our Learning Assistants bring to their work every day,” states a press release. “The superpowers range from ‘Patience Power’ to ‘Encouragement Energy’ and ‘Multitasking Master’.”
Danielle Sasseville has been working with the division for more than 12 years and was awarded the super power of ‘Empathy Vision’. Some other super powers include the ‘Resilience Radar’ and ‘Creativity Catalyst.’
“We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our Learning Assistants for bringing their many superpowers into our schools each and every day.”
