The Medicine Hat Manta Rays Summer Swim Club competed at provincials last weekend.
The local swim club sent five swimmers to the 2024 Summer Swimming Provincials in Edmonton, competing against 1,400 other swimmers from across Alberta.
Para-swimmer Isla Johnson, 8, led the team taking home four individual medals and participating in two ASSA Para All-Star relays. She finished second in the 50m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle.
Arianna Mori, 7: Finished ninth in the 50m backstroke.
Aria Carr, 7: Finished 15th in the 25m breaststroke.
Saylee Mori, 9: Finished 14th in the 100m individual medley.
Alexis Goffinet, 13: Finished 9th in the 200m freestyle and 12th in the 50m freestyle.
The Manta Rays summer swim season will begin again next season from May 1st to mid-August, 2025.
