The cheapest pumps in the province are at Petro-Canada Neighbour’s in Sherwood Park and Costco in Edmonton NW at $1.39.9 per litre.

A new release published by Gasbuddy.com on July 11 states North American gas prices are beginning to be affected by global events including the U.S presidential election and the invasion of Ukraine.

“Due to many complex factors – the Ukraine invasion, energy prices and the pandemic, among others – consumers have seen higher volatility at the pump in recent years,” says Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Our goal with this guide is to provide clear, accurate information to help educate the public about what factors influence gas prices at any given time, whether it is an election year or not.”
