Building off of the success of previous events, Cypress County is gearing up to host another Connections Luncheon on April 26.

This will be the third iteration of the event, says Beth Cash, economic development officer at Cypress County.

“Feedback from the previous luncheons was really positive. So we’re going to continue with the format that we have done in the past and just find ways to add value along the way,” said Cash.

The goal of the event remains the same, offering an opportunity for Cypress County businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs to meet and form potential partnerships in an informal networking setting.

“The main focus is just offering … the opportunity to create those relationships. So we’ll have opportunities for networking and collaboration and, here at the county we’re creating an environment that’s welcoming for that at the event,” said Cash.

Cash continued that part of her job is business retention and supporting the people who conduct business in the county. The luncheon was originally created based on feedback she had received from businesses seeking more chances to get to know those around them and network.

“Business retention is crucial to our business community, and this luncheon allows us to provide a platform for them to connect and thrive and ultimately just strengthen the economy here,” said Cash. “The really cool thing is that connections made have the potential to lead to increased business activity or job creation and investment opportunities. So, all of these things further contribute to our economic development goals for Cypress County.”

Registration is open until April 22. Cypress businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs can register for free on Eventbrite. For non-county attendees, the registration fee is $15.

Interested parties are encouraged to register early, as there is a maximum capacity.
