The Medicine Hat Tigers were well represented at the Canada Winter Games in P.E.I.
Five Tigers prospects suited up in the U16 tournament, with Gavin McKenna representing Team Yukon and forwards Kadon McCann and Hayden Harsanyi, defenceman Matthew Paranych and goaltender Jordan Switzer donned the Team Alberta blue.
Neither team was able to come away with a medal in the tournament but it was McKenna leaving an impact on the games. The 15-year-old Whitehorse product had a six-game total of 14 goals and 29 points, breaking the Games’ scoring record of 27 points in one tournament held by New Brunswick’s Kelsey Tessier in 2007 and Quebec’s Francois Methot in 1995.
Here are the February performances from prospects in the Tigers system, including the Winter Games stats.
