SASKATOON — Veteran skip Mike McEwen is joining forces with Rylan Kleiter on a new curling team that will be based in Saskatchewan.
McEwen, who has competed at the Montana’s Brier on 10 occasions over his career, will throw last rock while Kleiter will move to third.
The team confirmed the news this morning with a post on social media.
The front end of Kleiter’s Saskatoon team will remain in their positions with Trevor Johnson at lead and Joshua Mattern at second.
Former teammate Matthew Hall announced earlier this week that he was leaving the team.
McEwen’s previous rink, which included Colton Flasch, Dan Marsh and Kevin Marsh, recently announced they were moving on without him at skip. They later brought on Tyler Tardi as their new skip.
