Canadian Premier League expansion side FC Supra adds three more players

By Canadian Press on December 19, 2025.

MONTREAL — Expansion FC Supra doubled its roster with the announcement of three new players Friday.

The Canadian Premier League side has added midfielders Charles Auguste and Oussama Boughanmi as well as goalkeeper Joakim Milli.

They join David Choinière, Sean Rea and Loïc Kwemi, the Montreal team’s first three signings.

Boughanmi, Auguste and Mill have all played for CS Saint-Laurent, a Ligue1 Quebec club that has extensive ties with the Supra leadership.

Supra president and co-founder Rocco Placentino previously served as Saint-Laurent’s sporting director. Supra sporting director Mateo Cabanettes and head coach Nick Razzaghi also came from Saint-Laurent.

Boughanmi, 35, was the Ligue1 Québec Ballon d’Or winner in 2024. The veteran defensive midfielder has also played for clubs in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Auguste, 26, attended Creighton University and played for Chicago FC United in USL League Two in 2021 and 202 before signing with the Houston Dynamo, making his debut in May 2023 in a U.S. Open Cup match. Houston declined his option after the 2023 season.

Milli, 25, was with Italy’s U.S. Lecce from 2018 to 2021, helping the club win promotion to Serie A during the 2018-19 season. The Montreal native returned to Canada in 2023 to play for the Université de Montréal Carabins and Saint-Laurent.

Taking a page from Spain’s Atletico Bilbao, whose squad only features players from the surrounding Basque Country, FC Supra plans an all-Quebec roster.

“These additions represent another important step in building the identity of FC Supra,” Placentino said in a statement. “Each player brings qualities that align with our vision, like competitiveness, character, and a strong connection to the game in this province. This is about assembling a team that can grow together and represent Quebec with pride.”
