Most Proline bettors like the Edmonton Oilers’ chances of advancing to the third round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Edmonton faces off with the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday holding a commanding 3-1 series lead. And according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., a solid 72 per cent of Proline players are backing an Oilers win.
Edmonton is coming off a 3-0 win Monday night. Stuart Skinner stopped 23 shots for the shutout.
Seventy-three per cent of bettors backed the Oilers while 76 per cent had them on the -1.5 puckline. Thirty-six per cent correctly took the under 6.5 goals.
Meanwhile, it’s now a best-of-three series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers. The two teams square off Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena, with the home team having prevailed in each game thus far.
Not surprisingly, 78 per cent of Proline players are backing a Toronto victory.
Florida tied the series with a 2-0 victory Sunday, with just 23 per cent of Proline bettors supporting the Panthers’ win. And just 11 per cent had the under 5.5 while 29 per cent took Florida on the -1.5 puckline.
The Winnipeg Jets are on the brink of elimination, trailing the Dallas Stars 3-1 following a 3-1 loss in Texas on Tuesday night. The series continues in Manitoba on Thursday night.
Meanwhile in NBA playoff action, the New York Knicks downed the Boston Celtics 121-113 on Monday while the Minnesota Timberwolves downed the Golden State Warriors 117-110. Both winning teams took 3-1 series leads.
Just 36 per cent of bettors had the Knicks winning while 28 per cent took New York on the +5.5 spread. Meanwhile, 54 per cent of players had Minnesota winning while 54 per cent had the Timberwolves on the +4.5 spread.
A Proline digital player won $1,361.21 from $2 bet on a 12-pick parlay while another earned $1,104.09 from $2 wager on another 12-pick parlay.
A retail bettor received $1,045.50 from a $2 wager on a seven-pick parlay.
