By Canadian Press on February 12, 2025.
NEW YORK (AP) — Karl-Anthony Towns scored 40 points for the second straight night, the first time in his career the New York Knicks All-Star has reached that total in consecutive games.
Towns got to 42 points Wednesday night in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Hawks on his seventh 3-pointer of the game. He scored 40 points a night earlier in the Knicks’ victory in Indiana.
Towns became the fifth Knicks player with consecutive 40-point games, joining Bernard King, Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony and teammate Jalen Brunson, who did it at the end of last season.
