VANCOUVER – A Vancouver Whitecaps’ game in Colorado that was postponed last week due to inclement weather has been rescheduled.
The Whitecaps will face the Rapids in Major League Soccer action on Sept. 27 in Commerce City, Colo., the team announced Wednesday.
The game had originally been scheduled for June 21, but was postponed from its 7:30 p.m. local start time as the Denver area was under a severe thunderstorm warning and tornadoes were reported in eastern Colorado.
The teams waited until midnight before the match was called off.
The rescheduled match will be the seventh consecutive road game for the Whitecaps from Aug. 26 to Sept. 27.
The Whitecaps are next in action Saturday at Sporting KC.
