TORONTO – Penny Oleksiak says she still plans to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 22-year-old seven-time Olympic medalist withdrew from the world swimming championships on June 1 due to injury.
She says she’s just getting over the neurological issue with her shoulder now.
Oleksiak added that she’s slowly getting back into training leading up to next year’s Summer Games.
She spoke at Collision, a tech conference in downtown Toronto, this afternoon.
Oleksiak won four medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics and three more at the Tokyo Games in 2021.
