Beljo, Bandits beat Senators 3-0 in Centennial Cup semifinal

PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE, Man. – Dario Beljo scored twice in the third period and Aiden Fink added an empty-netter with 19 seconds left as the Brooks Bandits defeated the Ottawa Junior Senators 3-0 on Saturday in a Centennial Cup semifinal showdown. The Alberta Junior Hockey League Bandits will play the winner of Saturday night’s semifinal – between the host Portage Terriers and Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League – in Sunday’s championship final at 4 p.m. ET. Ethan Barwick made 22 saves to post the shutout. Brooks outshot Ottawa 41-22 and went 0-for-2 on the power-play. Ottawa, of the Central Canada Hockey League, went 0-for-5.
