jtubb@medicinehatnews.com@ReporterTubb The Medicine Hat Tigers are mourning the sudden death of their bus driver. Donald Bihun suffered a medical emergency in the middle of their game Wednesday in Brandon against the Wheat Kings and later died. Head coach Willie Desjardins offered his condolences to the family and he says the driver was a part of the team. “You don’t realize how important the bus driver is like that, you take some things for granted and you never should,” Desjardins said. “Donny was a true professional. He was always on time, always brought a smile, you could always count on him and importantly, you felt safe with him. He was just a good person to be around. “It certainly was a surprise and shock to us and our thoughts are with the family. Something like that, it’s so personal and it’s not really for us to talk about much, because it’s a real personal thing, and our thoughts and condolences go out to the family.” The team held a moment of silence ahead of Friday’s game. 8
