Mavs to return pitcher Gary Dornan this summer

The Medicine Hat Mavericks will have a returning Canadian on the mound this summer.

Right-handed pitcher Gary Dornan will pitch in the red and white for a second summer, the Mavs announced Monday.

Dornan, of Moncton, N.C., debuted in the WCBL last season, throwing 39.2 innings with a 4-2 record, 28 strikeouts and a 6.12 ERA.

He joins a pair of returning pitchers, Luis Diaz and Diego Centella on the mound as well as six returning position players, Nate King, Jamel Chabot, Jeremy Freeman Jr., Blake Dale, Carter Roth and Evan Morrison.
