sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat U12B Mustangs returned home from a weekend on the road with a pair of wins. In their first game, taking on the Indus Lightning, the Mustangs prevailed 6-4 in a back-and-forth affair. AP player Kimber Moch had a pair of goals, fellow AP Lexxon Martinez also found the back of the net. Charlie Lowe, Dylin Kerluke and Zoe Aarden all scored as well. Adding assists were Avery Fuller, Lowe and Aarden with two each, and singles from Kerluke, Isabelle Perrault, and Aphten Myram. Zayda Dawson stood tall in net, turning aside 28 shots. They then travelled to Rockyford to face the Ringers, opening the scoring early and skating away with an 8-4 win. Lowe led the charge with a hat trick, Moch (AP) and Fuller each tallied two goals and Fallyn Weeks added a solo marker. AP players Addison Staheli and Martinez each recorded two assists, with helpers also coming from Lowe, Dawson, Weeks and Kerluke. Aarden earned the win in net. The U12B Mustangs are back in action Feb. 28 at the Moose Rec Centre when Lethbridge comes to town. U14 The Medicine Hat U14B Mustangs were in Calgary for a pair of games. They lost the first contest, 10-2 to Lethbridge. Kassidy Etienne scored a pair of goals with Dannalee Sawchuk and Arika McDowall assisting. The Mustangs fell short again in the second game, falling to Calgary Northwest Heat 8-5. Sawchuk found the back of the net assisted by Charlie Singh. Jorja Sadler also scored with Etienne and Singh assisting. Etienne came in strong with another pair of goals assisted by Brinley Cross and Sadler. Myah Weber also scored with Katie-Lee Sehn assisting. Grace Stirling was in net for both games. The U14B Mustangs head to Calgary for another couple games on Saturday. U10 The Medicine Hat Mustangs U10 Step 3 were in Airdrie for a two-game set this weekend. In the first game, with Bailey Weeks in net, the Mustangs battled but came up short in an 11-3 loss. Goals were scored by Adelynn McKinley, Ridley Trotter (assisted by Kylee Drever) and Everley Cross (assisted by Kyler Drever). Ridley Trotter take over goaltending duties in the second game. Despite a strong effort, the Mustangs fell 12-3. Scoring came from Rozlyn Moch (assisted by Gabriella O’Reilly), Kylee Drever (assisted by Hudson Kerluke) and Gabriella O’Reilly (assisted by Kylee Drever). The Mustangs are back in action Mar. 1 at the Moose Rec Centre. 18
