The WHL announced supplemental discipline from the Medicine Hat Tigers’ 10-1 win Monday.

Red Deer Rebels forward Kohen Lodge was suspended two games for his boarding major and game misconduct from the second period of Monday’s matinee at Co-op Place.

In the last 20 seconds of the second period, Lodge hit Tigers forward Ethan Neutens into the corner boards in the Medicine Hat end.

The Tigers’ overage forward was slow to get to his feet and skate off the ice, missing the rest of the game.

Tigers head coach Willie Desjardins had no firm update postgame Monday, adding that Neutens will be evaluated this week. The Cochrane product has nine goals and 17 points in 40 games this season with the Tigers.

Lodge has previously been suspended this season, handed a three-game ban after a check to the head major and game misconduct in the Rebels Jan. 10, 3-2 overtime win over the Swift Current Broncos.

The 17-year-old Red Deer product has played in 34 games this season with the Rebels, tallying a goal and seven points.
