AMAC Swim Club races at Winter Festival in Calgary

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club swam at the Swim Alberta 2026 Winter Festival.

The local swim club sent four qualified swimmers to compete against 31 clubs from across the province at the race held in Calgary.

Rixtonn Biffart (11): Finished second in 200m Free Relay Blue Vs Red, fifth in 50m Back Final (New 12y/o Festival Time), seventh in 50m Free Final, 100m IM Prelim and 100m Free Prelim, eighth in 50m Free Prelim, 50m Back Prelim (New 12y/o Festival Time) and 200m Free Final, ninth in 100m IM Final, 10th in 50m Breast Prelim, 50m Breast Final, 50m Fly Prelim, 50m Fly Final and 100m Free Final, 11th in 200m IM Final and 13th in Mixed 200m Free Relay and Mixed 200m Medley Relay.


Isabela Josey (12): Finished eighth in 50m Breast Prelim, 10th in 50m Breast Final, 11th in 100m Breast Prelim (New 16& Over Provincial Time), 13th in Mixed 200m Medley Relay and Mixed 200m Free Relay, 17th in 200m Breast Final, 25th in 100m IM Prelim, 26th in 200m Back Final, 31st in 50m Free Prelim, 35th in 50m Fly Prelim and 39th in 100m Free Prelim.


Marsha Van Der Merwe (11) Received a 2026 Winter Festival Top five Youth Recognition award. She finished ninth in 100m Fly Prelim (New 11y/o Festival Time), 10th in 100m Fly Final, 13th in Mixed 200m Medley Relay, 13th in Mixed 200m Free Relay, 17th in 50m Fly Prelim (New 11y/o Festival Time), 20th in 100m Breast Prelim (New 11y/o Festival Time), 24th in 200m IM Final, 26th in 200m Breast Final, 30th in 400m Free Final, 33rd in 100m IM Prelim and 40th in 100m Free Prelim.


Henley Yonkman (9): Finished 13th in Mixed 200m Medley Relay and Mixed 200m Free Relay, 14th in 100m Breast Prelim, 19th in 50m Breast Prelim, 28th in 50m Back Prelim, 30th in 50m Free Prelim, 31st in 100m IM Prelim, 40th in 200m Breast, 42nd in 100m Free Prelim and 49th in 200m IM.

Next up for AMAC is the Mavericks Madness meet this weekend in Calgary.
