The Medicine Hat U19B Mustangs celebrated six graduating players Sunday after their last home league games with the Ringette Association. The six Mustangs, Kyree Stern-Rebmann, Kasey Martin, Ava Allchurch, Brooklyn Thomas, Karly Stennick and Bella Heinrichs played a pair of games Sunday against Calgary NW Xcel.

The Medicine Hat U19B Mustangs hosted a pair of games over the weekend.
The Mustangs faced the Calgary NW Xcel, who sit ahead of the Mustangs in the Chinook League standings, at the Moose Rec Centre on Sunday.
The Mustangs lost the first game 4-2. Avi Velichko had a goal and an assist and Leighton Wright added a solo marker. Ryleigh Jackiw had an assist.
They outshot Calgary 50-36 in the second game but ultimately fell 5-3. Jackiw had a goal and an assist, Kendall Smith and Karly Stennick each scored. Wright had two assists.
Sunday’s action was the last home games of the season for the U19 Mustangs, who celebrated their six graduating players, Kyree Stern-Rebmann, Kasey Martin, Ava Allchurch, Brooklyn Thomas, Karly Stennick and Bella Heinrichs.
The Mustangs have a couple of weekends off before they head to Calgary for a doubleheader on Jan. 31 against Calgary BV-2 and Calgary NW-2.
U16
The U16 Mustangs were in Lethbridge on Sunday for a pair of games, sweeping their doubleheader.
They skated to a 7-4 win in the first game. Breanna Lanuk and Lacey Gibney each had a hat trick, Margot Kerr added a solo marker. Lanuk, Kerr and Madison Helgeson each had assists and Emma Pinnell stood tall in net.
They kept the momentum rolling in the second game, winning 7-3. Jacqueline LeBlanc anchored duties between the pipes. Lanuk and Gibney each had a pair of goals and all three of Kerr, Sloane Berstad and Tia Van Maarion found the back of the net. Lanuk, Kerr and Van Maarion each had assists as well.
The U16 Mustangs have a break before they return to action Jan. 24 with a doubleheader at the Moose Rec Centre against Lethbridge.
U14
The U14B Mustangs played two games on Saturday against the Lethbridge Rattlers.
Grace Stirling was in net for both games.
They lost the first game 8-3. Brinley Cross scored, assisted by Myah Weber and Dannalee Sawchuk. Arika McDowall also scored off an assist from Haven Ward, and Rhya Weinberger found the back of the net, assisted from Ward and Cross.
They dropped the second game 6-4. Kassidy Etienne scored two goals, assists to Sawchuk and Jorja Sadler. Weber also scored twice, Cross, O’Reilly and Etienne had assists.
The U14B Mustangs head to Lethbridge on Sunday for a double header against the Rattlers.
U12
The U12B Mustangs were in Leduc last weekend for their first tournament of 2026.
They opened the tournament with a loss to St. Albert. Charlie Lowe led the offence with two goals, Aphten Myram and Zayda Dawson each picked up an assist. Zoe Aarden was between the pipes for Medicine Hat.
They faced Sherwood Park U12A in the second game, falling 9-0. Dawson was between the pipes.
On Saturday they faced Foothills. A back-and-forth contest and a string of penalties put the Mustangs behind, falling 8-3. Lowe scored twice, both unassisted, while Dylin Kerluke netted her first goal of the season with an assist from Sloan Loehndorf.
The Mustangs were in the bronze medal game with a rematch against Foothills. Foothills struck early, before Lowe answered back for the Mustangs.
Isabelle Perrault added a goal and Loehndorf sniped two to tie the game at four. Dawson stood tall in net, stopping two breakaway chances to keep the game even. The contest was ultimately decided in a shootout, with the Mustangs falling 5-4. Lowe finished with two assists, Avery Fuller, Myram and Kerluke each chipped in with one.
The Mustangs return to league action on Saturday at Moose Rec Centre when Cochrane comes to town.
U10
The Step 2 Mustangs played two games Sunday against Lethbridge.
In the first game, Sadie Ryks and Ashlee Dupuis were in net, Adelyn Morvik and Kylie Klaudt each scored.
In the second game, Talia Chartrand and Teagan Forsyth were in net. Morvik had two goals, Addison Clegg and Brinley Chabluk each scored.
