Mavs announce first returnee for 2026 season

The Medicine Hat Mavericks have gone local with their first player named for the 2026 season.

The Mavs announced Monday that first baseman/right fielder Evan Morrison will return for his third season with the red and white.

The Medicine Hat product had 36 hits, nine home runs and 29 RBIs in 34 regular season games last season. He had two hits in two playoff games last season against the Regina Red Sox.

Morrison had 16 hits and six RBIs in 30 games in the 2024 summer season.
