They host the High River Flyers (5-22) on Saturday and the Ponoka Stampeders (1-26) on Sunday. Saturday’s game gets underway 7:30 p.m., Sunday’s puck drop at 3 p.m. The Cubs entered the HJHL holiday break with a 12-game win streak, putting them in first place of the South division with a 19-6-1 record. They’re six points up on both the Cochrane Generals (16-9-1) and Strathmore Wheatland Kings (16-10-1). They are pushing for their first HJHL division title since the 2001-02 season when they finished atop the whole league in their first year in the HJHL.
