They beat the Golden Suns 4-2 on Friday before tying the East Kooteny Avalanche 2-2 on Sunday. Easton Brown had a goal and an assist in Friday’s win, Hudson Schutte, Nash Korchinski and Bentley Thares each scored. Maddox Joyal made 15 saves. Nash Pahl and Brown each scored on Sunday, Colson Neigum made 49 saves. The U15AA Hounds (5-15-0-0-2) host the Airdrie Lightning on Jan. 10 at the Hockey Hounds arena and the Foothills Bisons on Jan. 11 at the Kinplex. U16 The Medicine Hat U16AA Hounds lost 9-3 Saturday to the Calgary Northstars. Shane Mathe had a goal and two assists, Paxton Powell and Everett Ward both scored. Marshall Turner made 38 saves. The U16AA Hounds (6-11-0-0-1) are off until Jan. 2 when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Kinplex. They also host the NWCAA Bronks on Jan. 4 at the Hounds arena. U17 The Medicine Hat U17AAA South East Tigers had two games over the weekend, falling 4-1 Saturday to the Lloydminster Lancers before tying the GPAC Storm on Sunday. Illya Khazov scored the Tigers lone goal, Griffin Stenger made 39 saves. In Sunday’s draw, Hayden MacNeil had a goal and an assist and both Canaan Fleck and Cameron Slater each scored. Jake Druar made 31 saves. The U17AAA SE Tigers (5-10-0-0-2) are off until Jan. 3 when they head on the road before hosting the SPKAC Squires on Jan. 4 at the Hockey Hounds Arena. U18 The Medicine Hat U18AA Hounds had two games this weekend, losing 13-2 to the Golden Suns on Saturday before getting shutout 4-0 Sunday by the NWCAA Bruins. Jaxon Bohrn and Ethan Hall each scored for the Tigers on Saturday Treyton Wilson and Hudson Corbett were both in net, making 43 and 33 saves respectively. Corbett worked the full game Sunday, stopping 40 shots in the shutout-loss. The U18AA Hounds (8-10-0-0-3) are off until Jan. 3 when they host the Bow Valley Timberwolves at the Kinplex. 21
