Team Miller captures second-straight curling championship

The curling team of Ryker Miller, Third Colby Sherwick, Second Emmett Cook and Lead Lyndon Sherwick picked up their second championship in as many weeks.

The local curling team travelled to Lacombe to participate in the U18 Men’s Bonspiel over the weekend.

They went undefeated during round robin play, facing the No. 2 team of Team Myker from Grande Prairie in the ‘A’ final, winning 5-4.

After an extra end, Team Miller remained undefeated and captured their second championship in consecutive weeks after winning the U18 RME Medicine Hat Bonspiel last weekend.

They’ll head to Leader in tow weeks for another U18 Bonspiel.
