The Rattlers beat the Northwestern Polytechnic 88-67 Friday and downed the King’s University Eagles 92-57 on Saturday, both wins coming at the Snake Pit. In the win Friday, Kieran Isnor had 18 points, Wol Wol notched a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points. Jordan Biggar had 14 points and eight rebounds. Against the Eagles, Isnor led the way with 16 points and five boards. Colby Anderson had 12 points and Bigger had 13 rebounds, 10 assists and nine points. The women’s team split their weekend, beating Northwestern 106-41 before falling 77-54 to King’s University. Jasmine Gardiner led the Rattlers in the win Friday with 25 points and nine assists. Brynn Bremner had 13 points and Alexis Watkiss had 12 points and nine rebounds. On Saturday, Gardiner had 10 points and five rebounds. The men (5-4) and women (5-4) are off until the new year with their next games scheduled for Jan. 3 on the road against Ambrose University. Volleyball The Rattlers volleyball teams were on the road, taking on Northwestern Polytechnic on Friday and King’s University on Saturday. The men’s team lost to the Wolves in four sets (25-23, 19-25, 29-31, 12-25) then beat the Eagles in five sets Saturday (30-32, 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 15-10). William Reiniger had 13 kills in the loss Friday, Joel Lehr had seven kills. In the win, Landon and William Reiniger had 14 kills each, Declan Cook had 13 kills. The women’s team lost in four sets Friday (21-25, 26-24, 15-25, 22-25) and three sets Saturday (20-25, 23-25, 20-25). Jaivyn Barabe had 10 kills in Friday’s loss, while Fayth Spencer added six more kills. Spencer had nine kills on Saturday. MHC’s men (3-6) and women (2-7) are off for the Christmas break, with their next games Jan. 9 and 10 at Briercrest College. Hockey The women’s hockey team had there road games this weekend, facing the Olds College Broncos. They won the first game Friday 5-2. Mya Girard had a pair of goals, Aivry Thomas added a solo marker and Sienna Vieria had two assists. Sarah Shields made 36 saves. The Rattlers lost the next two games, falling 3-2 Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday. Gracie Soderstrom and Thomas scored for the Rattlers on Saturday, while Anna Stewart made 26 saves. In the loss Sunday, Chloe Johnson had a goal and an assist and both Sidney Ellingson and Soderstrom had solo markers. Shields made 45 saves. The team (4-10) is off until Jan. 9 when they host the SAIT Trojans. 23
