Waves Swim Club races at AMAC Fall Invitational

The Medicine Hat Waves Swim Club raced locally this weekend.

The swim club sent 35 swimmers to race at the AMAC Fall Invitational at the Big Marble Go Centre this weekend.

Eight swimmers raced to new provincial times.

Provincial festival:

Quinn Baht: 10-year-old Girls 50m Free

Davis Hodel: 11-year-old Boys 200m Breast, 10-year-old Boys 50m and 100m Breast

Avery McDonald: 12-year-old Girls 100m Free

Connor Tweten: 12-year-old Boys 400m Free

Provincial Trials:

Sophie Baht: 15-year-old Girls 50m Breast

Elizabeth Humphreys: 15-year-old Girls 50m Back, 100m Back and 100m Free

Avery McDonald: 12-year-old Girls 100m Free

Provincial Championships:

Will Miller: Open Boys 400m Free

New Club Records:

Ellis Anstey: 8-year-old boys 50m Free, 200m Free and 50m Fly.

Wesley Henderson: 9-year-old girls 200m Breast

Jordan Hill: 16-year-old girls 100m Back, 400m Free and 800m Free

William Miller: 17-year-old boys 800m Free, 200m Fly

Kaden Goffinet: 17-year-old boys 100m Breast

Ellis Anstey (8, M): Raced at the nine and under level, finishing first in six races, 50m Back, 50m Fly, 50m Free, 100m Free, 100m Back and 200m Free, also second in 50m Breast and 100m Breast.

Quinn Baht (10, F): Raced in the 9-0 category, finishing first in six races, 50m Back, 50m Fly, 100m Free, 200m IM, 200m Back and 200m Free, second in 50m Free and third in 50m Breast.

Sophie Baht (14, F): Swam in the 13-14 division, finishing third in 50m Breast and 100m Breast, fourth in 50m Back and 200m IM, fifth in 50m Fly, sixth in 50m Free and 200m Free and eighth in 100m Free.

Dalton Beckman (10, M): Raced in the 10-11 age group, finishing seventh in 50m Back and 50m Breast, eighth in 100m Free and ninth in 50m Free.

Blayke Bennett (8, F) Race among eight and under swimmers, finishing third in 50m Breast, fifth in 50m Back, 100m Free and 100m Back and sixth in 50m Free and 100m Breast.

Ethan Bennett (10, M): Raced in the 10-11 division, finishing third in 50m Fly and 200m Breast, sixth in 50m Free and 50m Breast, seventh in 100m Breast, eighth in 100m Back and ninth in 100m Free.

Connor Donnelly (11, M): Raced among 10-11 year-old swimmers, finishing fourth in 50m Fly, sixth in 100m Back and 200m Free, eighth in 50m Back and 11th in 50m Free and 100m Free.

Hadlee Dunbar (11, F): Swam in the 11-12 division, finishing 10th in 100m Back and 200m Back, 15th in 50m Free and 200m Free, 16th in 100m Free, 17th in 50m Back and 20th in 50m Breast.

Huxley Dunbar (9, M): Raced at nine and under, finishing 11th in 50m Free and 13th in 50m Back.

Lyrah Eggins (11, F): Raced in 11-12 division, finishing 15th in 100m Back, 19th in 50m Breast, 20th in 50m Free and 21st in 100m Free.

Leighton Hodel (7, F): Raced among eight and under swimmers, finishing sixth in 50m Breast and 100m Free, seventh in 100m Back and eighth in 50m Back and 50m Free.

Elizabeth Humphreys (15, F): Raced in the 15 and over class, finishing third in 50m Fly, fourth in 50m Breast and 100m Back, sixth in 50m Back, seventh in 50m Free and eighth in 100m Free.

Isla Johnson (10, F): Raced in the 9-10, Para PSPI class, finishing 13th in 100m Back, 14th in 100m Breast, 16th in 100m Free, 17th in 50m Back and 18th in 50m Free.

Ellis Johnson (7, M): Swam in the nine and under class, finishing ninth in 100m Free and 12th in 50m Back and 50m Free.

Hannah Le (9, F): Raced in the 9-10 division, finishing 10th in 100m Back, 11th in 50m Breast, 13th in 50m Free and 14th in 50m Back and 100m Free.

Sydni Martens (22, F) Raced in the 15 and over, Para S14 division, finishing first in the 50m Breast, 50m Free and 50m Back.

Avery McDonald (12, F): Swam in the 11-12 class, finishing first in 50m Back, 50m Free, 100m Fly and 100m Free, second in 50m Fly and 100m Back and fourth in 50m Breast and 100m Breast.

Isabel Miller (12, F): Raced in the 11-12 division, finishing first in 200m Breast, second in 50m Free, 100m Breast and 400m Free and third in 50m Back.
