The South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 men’s team recorded two win on their road weekend.
SAHA ruled Halloween Friday with a 7-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds.
Kutcher Aquila had four goals and one assist, both Sully Kufflick and Damen Vanderberg had a goal and an assist. Brennan Finke had a solo marker, Aidan Poulin had three assists and both Carson Ward and Braden Hordichuk had two helpers. Chase Neilson made 22 saves in the win.
They lost 6-4 Saturday to the Prairie Hockey Academy.
Aquila had two goals and an assist, and both Dylan Sherban and Pelletier had a goal. Neilson split duties with starter Hunter Zawislak in net, each making 12 saves.
They rebounded in a big way, beating Notre Dame 12-0 on Sunday.
Kingston Chisholm had three goals and an assist, Sherban scored twice and both Ryker Klassen and Vanderberg had a goal and three assists. Hunter Saddleback, Kufflick and Aquila had a goal and an assist, and both Aidan Poulin and Pelletier had solo markers. Zawislak stopped all 22 shots he faced.
SAHA’s U18 men’s team (8-3) has two home games this weekend, hosting the Edge school Friday (7:45 p.m.) and the Calgary International Hockey Academy on Saturday (5 p.m.), both games at the Big Marble Go Centre.
U18 Female
SAHA’s U18 female team had three home games this weekend against OHA Edmonton.
They lost the first game, falling 3-2 on Saturday. Myla Motz scored both SAHA goals, Mika Yokota made 24 saves.
They dropped the second game, also losing 3-2. Hallie Parada had a goal and an assist, Motz scored for a second straight game. Phoenix Buckler made 21 saves.
SAHA finished the weekend with a 5-2 win Monday. Five skaters scored for the
Academy, with Tien Woo, Taye Baker, Motz, Riley Bourque and Taylor Crocker each finding the back of the net. Yokota made 24 saves in the win.
The next scheduled CSSHL game for SAHA’s U18 women’s team (4-7) is Nov. 27, the first of four straight games on the road.
U15
SAHA’s U15 men’s team won all three of their weekend games.
They beat St. George’s Prep 5-1 on Friday.
Carter Jarvis and Kyan Vansandt had a goal and two assists, Nelson Sonna Soufo, Milan Loates and Kovann Chisholm each scored, Mason Bryksa had three assists. Cole Anderson had 30 saves.
They beat Okanagan Hockey Academy 6-4 on Saturday.
Jarvis had two goals with an assist, both Vansandt and Bryksa had a goal and an assist. Loates had a solo marker, both Mark Ma and Sonna Soufo had two assists. Anderson made 24 saves in net.
SAHA capped off the weekend with a 4-3 win Sunday over the North Shore Warriors. Nash Davis had a goal and an assist, and all three of Rowan Oddie, Jarvis and Sonna Soufo had a goal. Anderson stopped 29 shots.
SAHA’s U15 men’s team
(5-7) hosts Calgary International Hockey Academy on Saturday for a 2:15 p.m. contest at Big Marble Go.
