They beat Calgary Bow View-1 12-4 in the first game. Ryleigh Jackiw had two goals and four assists, Kensie Provost had a goal and four assists, Leighton Wright had three goals, Kasey Martin scored twice, Aviana Velichko scored twice and had two assists, Kensie Provent scored and had four assists, Kendall Smith had a goal and two helpers and Reese Tabor scored. In their second game, taking on Calgary Bow View-4, the Mustangs battled through a back-and-forth first half en route to a 13-6 win. Wright scored five goals, Jackiw had three goals and two assists, Martin had a pair of goals and assists, Provost had a goal and two assists and both Velichko and Smith had a goal. Kyree Stern-Rebmann stood tall in net in both games. The next action for the U19 Mustangs is Saturday when they host South Calgary-1 for a doubleheader at the Moose Rec Centre. The first game is at 1 p.m. with the second at 4 p.m. U16 The Medicine Hat U16B Mustangs were in Airdrie on Sunday, leaving with a 12-2 win. Breanna Lanuk scored four times, Lacey Gibney and Margot Kerr each had a hat trick and both Onyka Funk and Tia Van Maarion scored. Gibney, Kerr, Funk, Van Maarion, Madison Helgeson and Kassidy Etienne all had assists. They played Bow View in Calgary later in the day, falling 5-4 against the top-ranked team. Kerr scored twice and Etienne scored as well. Gibney and Addison Mastel each had helpers. Jacqueline LeBlanc and Emma Pinnell shared time between the pipes in both games. The U16 Mustangs are back in action Saturday at the Moose, hosting Calgary South. The first game starts at 11:30 a.m. with the second getting underway at 2:30 p.m. U12 The U12A Mustangs hosted Lethbridge for their first home games on Saturday. In the first game, Lethbridge opened the scoring and took an early lead the Mustangs just couldn’t overcome, falling 12-1. Charlie Lowe scored the lone Mustangs goal, assisted by Isabelle Perrault and Dylin Kerluke. Zayda Dawson faced 53 shots. The second game started off strong for the Mustangs, with just a one goal difference heading into the half. The Mustangs held off Lethbridge before ultimately falling fell 11-4 to the visiting Rattlers. Lowe led the scoring with two goals and an assist. Aphten Myram and Avery Fuller had the other Mustangs goals. Assists went to Myram, Fuller, Sloan Loehndorf, Katie Vis and Zoe Aarden. Dawson was in net again, facing 49 shots. Their next games are Nov. 7 when they head to Rockyford for tournament action. The U12B Mustangs also played their first league games Saturday. They faced the Rockyford Ringers in the first game, falling 13-0. The Mustangs faced Indus Lightening in their second game, falling 16-2. Kimber Moch and Maizee Trotter scored one each, both unassisted. Lexi Aldred was in net for both games. The U12B Mustangs play at the Moose for their first home games on Sunday, facing Foothills for games at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. U10 The U10 Step 3 Mustangs hosted Airdrie for a doubleheader on Sunday. In their first game, Ridley Trotter guarded the net for both periods. Airdrie took an early lead in the first, outscoring the Mustangs 6-2. Everley Cross opened the scoring for Medicine Hat, assisted by Kylee Drever and Harper Fuller. Laila Loehndorf followed up with another goal, with helpers from Brielle St. Laurent and Adelynn McKinley. The Mustangs matched Airdrie goal for goal in the second half for a 3-3 split, ultimately falling 9-5. Loehndorf led the charge with two goals, one assisted by Drever, Cross added another goal, assisted by Loehndorf. Their second game saw Kylee Drever take her turn in net. The Mustangs found their rhythm early with first-period goals from Adelynn McKinley, Gabriella O’Reilly (assisted by Harper Fuller) and Fuller (assisted by Loehndorf). Airdrie held a 5-3 lead after the first. In the second half, the Mustangs kept pressing with goals from McKinley and Cross, assisted by St. Laurent and Hudson Kerluke. Despite the efforts, Airdrie came away with a 10-5 win. The Mustangs next weekend of competition is Nov. 9 at the Moose Rec Centre. The U10 Step 2 Mustangs hosted Indus on Saturday for a pair of games. In the first game, Addison Clegg scored twice and both Kylie Klaudt and Ashlee Dupuis scored, Adelyn Morvik was in net. In their second contest, Teagan Forsyth split duties in net with Ashlee Dupuis. Brinley Chabluk scored four goals, Clegg had a hat trick and Teagan Forsyth found the back of the net. No final scores were reported for either game. 39
