The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club was in action over the weekend in Lethbridge.
The local swim club sent 36 swimmers to race at the Friesen Plastics Fall Challenge this weekend in Lethbridge. The meet drew swimmers from across Southern Alberta and AMAC’s presence was one of the largest at the races.
The team results were:
Nayla Berg (13): Finished fourth in 200m Back (New 16 and over provincial time), fifth in 50m Breast and 100m Fly, seventh in 100m Breast and 100m Back (New 15y/o provincial time), ninth in 50m Breast, 13th in 50m Back (New 14y/o provincial time) and 24th in 200m Free.
Rixtonn Biffart (11): Finished first in 50m Breast and 50m Fly, third in 50m Free and 400m Free, fourth in 100m IM, fifth in 50m Back and sixth in 100m Back (New 11y/o festival time).
Dain Burnell (12): Finished second in 200m Back (New 13 and Under provincial time), third in 50m Back (New 12y/o festival time), 100m IM (New 12y/o festival time) and 100m Free, fourth in 50m Free and 200m IM, fifth in 100m Back (New 12y/o festival time) and sixth in 200m Free.
Wyatt Gage (16): Finished fourth in 50m Fly, 100m Fly and 100m Free, fifth in 50m Free and 50m Fly, eighth in 50m Back and 200m IM (New 16 and Over provincial time) and 11th in 100m Back.
Carleigh Gainsborough (12): Finished fifth in 100m Back, sixth in 200m Breast, seventh in 50m Breast and 50m Fly, eighth in 200m IM, 12th in 100m IM, 20th in 200m Free and 25th in 100m Free.
Lauren Gainsborough (14): Finished first in 200m Breast, third in 50m Breast and 100m Fly, fourth in 50m Breast (New 16 and over provincial time), sixth in 100m Breast (New 16 and over provincial time), seventh in 200m IM (New 16 and over provincial time), eighth in 50m Fly (New 15 y/o provincial time) and 12th in 50m Free (New 16 and over provincial time).
Braelynn Gale (11): Finished 26th in 50m Fly, 35th in 50m Breast, 39th in 200m Free, 41st in 50m Free, 42nd in 100m Back, 44th in 50m Back, 46th in 100m Free and 53rd in 100m IM.
Morgan Hobson (17): Finished first in 200m Breast, fourth in 50m Breast, fifth in 100m Fly and 100m Breast, sixth in 100m Back (New 16 and over provincial time), seventh in 50m Breast, 11th in 50m Fly and 20th in 50m Free.
