Minor Hockey Roundup: U13AA Hounds split weekend on home ice

The Medicine Hat U13AA Hounds opened a two-game weekend in blowout fashion.

The Hounds beat up on the Airdrie Lightning on Saturday, winning 11-2. Austin Hull led the offence with a six-point day, tallying a trio of goals and assists.

Hudson Danroth scored twice, Cohen McLaren had three goals and an assist, Max Chisholm had a goal and five helpers and both Owen Maser and Stetsen Kreiser had a goal and an assist. Asher Nardari made 11 saves.

The Hounds lost their second game, blanked 7-0 by the East Kootenay Avalanche on Sunday.

Treyson Donnelly made 54 saves in the loss.

The U13AA Hounds (1-3-0-2) are on the road this weekend for pair of games.

U15

The U15AAA South East Tigers lost both games this weekend, falling 7-2 Saturday to the Okotoks Oilers before losing 3-0 Sunday to the Calgary Royals.

In Saturday’s loss, Raylan Johnson had a goal and an assist and Carter Perry found the back of the net. Hunter Knoll made 61 saves.

Hunter Munro made 57 saves in the shutout loss Sunday.

The U15AAA SE Tigers (0-7) are off until Nov. 1 when they host the Calgary Northstars at the Hockey Hounds arena.

The Medicine Hat U15AA Hounds played two games over the weekend.

They tied the first contest, a 2-2 draw Friday with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Kane Tuchscherer and Easton Brown scored for the Hounds and Colson Neigum made 40 saves.

They lost 5-0 Saturday to the Golden Suns. Maddox Joyal made 41 saves.

The U15AA Hounds (1-5-0-1) host the Bow Valley Timberwolves on Friday at the Hockey Hounds arena before hosting the Central Alberta Selects Saturday at Irvine Sports Complex.

U16

The U16AA Hounds lost their lone game of the week, falling 6-1 Saturday to the CBHA Hawks.

Liam Jaspers scored the lone Medicine Hat goal, Marshall Turner made 32 stops in net.

The U16AA Hounds (1-3) are on the road Saturday.

U18

The Medicine Hat U18AA Hounds split their weekend.

They were shutout 5-0 Saturday on the road by the Lethbridge Hounds. Treyton Wilson made 26 saves in the loss.

They rebounded Sunday evening, beating the Wheatland Warriors 5-3. Nixon Kunkel had a goal and two assists, Jackson Brassard had a goal and an assist and all three of Griffin Aadland, Mavric Ward and Jaxon Bohrn scored. Hudson Corbett made 40 saves.

The U18AA Hounds (2-4-0-1) have two home games this weekend, hosting the Eat Kootenay Avalanche on Saturday and the CNHA Black on Sunday, both games at the Hockey Hounds arena.
