Bishop tied for second entering final round of national college golf championship

Wyatt Bishop has put himself within reach of a national college golf championship.

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers golfer finished his third round of the championship held at Desert Blume tied for second, shooting 70 to sit four strokes back of the leader.

Bishop enters the final round today tied with Jaden Patel of SAIT. Thomas Grenier of Champlain St. Lawrence has led from the first round, sitting 11 under par with a secondstraight round of 68.

After the third day, Rylan Hodgson finished in 26th (+17) with a round of 77. Hayden King (+18) is tied for 27th after shooting 76. Keelan Burzminski (+21) shot 86 Thursday to sit tied 30th, and Isaac Stehr (+29) enters the final day tied for 39th with a third round of 80.

On the women’s side, Susan Chen of Humber leads the way at 10-over par, shooting 75 on Thursday. For the Rattlers, Kiara Reesor (+73) shot 96 Thursday to sit 14th. Ava Bratvold (+75) shot a third-round 100 and Zoe Hodgson (+11) shot 105 to sit 20th.

Medicine Hat’s men’s team enters the final day in fourth at +43. The Rattlers’ women’s team, ACAC 2, sits fifth at +145.

The final round of the national championship at the Blume gets underway today at 10:30 a.m.
