The team kicked things off with a 6-2 win Friday over St. George’s School. Dylan Sherban scored twice, Kayne Wright scored and had two assists, both Ty Wasyluk and Kutcher Aquila had a goal and an assist and Braden Hordichuk had a solo goal. Cash Christie made 39 saves. They lost the second game, falling 5-1 Saturday to the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. Paxton Cabana scored SAHA’s lone goal and Hunter Zawislak made 29 saves. SAHA rebounded with a 3-2, overtime win Sunday over the Yale Hockey Academy. Kingston Chisholm scored twice, including the OT winner. Sherban scored as well and Zawislak made 27 saves. SAHA’s U18 men’s team (4-2) are on the road for a pair of games this weekend, facing the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (Friday) and RINK Winnipeg (Saturday). U18 female SAHA’s U18 female team hosted and beat the Edge school in a pair of games, winning 3-0 Friday and 4-2 on Saturday. Phoenix Buckler stopped all 24 shots she faced in the shutout-win Friday. Taylor Crocker scored twice and Maria Facca added a goal. In Saturday’s win, Facca had a goal and an assist and all three of Sara Murdoch, Hallie Parada and Myla Motz found the back of the net. Both Sophie Erlam and Tien Woo had two assists. Buckler made 25 saves in her second start of the weekend. SAHA’s female team (3-3) is off until Oct. 25 and 26 when they head to Calgary for a pair of games against Edge. U15 SAHA’s U15 prep team played at the Red Deer Fall Classic over the weekend, finishing fifth. They opened the weekend with a pair of wins Thursday, beating the Colorado Thunderbirds 3-1 before blanking the Calgary Northstars 3-0. In the win over Colorado, Cooper Danroth had a goal and an assist and both Macen Ibach and Weston Haslbeck scored. Patrick Curtis made 26 saves. Cole Anderson stopped all 31 shots he faced in the win over Calgary. Mason Bryksa, Kovann Chisholm and Ibach each scored, Mark Ma had two assists. They lost 5-1 Friday to the U15 Red Deer Rebels. Nash Davis scored the lone goal and Curtis made 42 saves. SAHA lost the lone game Saturday, falling 7-4 to the Calgary Bisons. Ibach had a goal and an assist, Chisholm, Kyan Vansandt and Davis each scored in the loss and Anderson made 38 stops. SAHA rebounded with a 4-2 win Sunday over the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes. Milan Loates, Rowan Oddie, Carson Caouette and Cooper Conway each scored, Ibach had three assists. Curtis made 30 saves. SAHA’s U15 prep team has a pair of road games this weekend, hosting Northern Alberta Xtreme on Saturday (7:45 p.m.) and Sunday (11:30 a.m.), both games at the Big Marble Go Centre. 22
