The Medicine Hat Tigers have announced the signing two skaters who made their debuts last weekend.

The Tigers announced they had signed forwards Dayton Reschny and Yaroslav Bryzgalov ahead of Saturday’s 5-2, season-opening win at Co-op Place over the Regina Pats.

Both Reschny and Bryzgalov made their WHL debuts on Saturday and recorded assists in the win.

The 19-year-old Reschny had previously attended Pats’ training camp last season before playing 24 games with the AJHL’s Bonnyville Pontiacs. He had seven goals and 21 points last season.

Reschny, a product of Macklin, Sask. was a training camp invitee of the Tigers, scoring a goal and recording two assists in four preseason games. He is the cousin of Calgary Flames prospect Cole Reschny.

The Tigers drafted the 18-year-old Bryzgalov 60th overall in the 2025 CHL Import Draft. In the preseason, the Minsk, Belarus product had two goals and four points in three games.

He spent last season in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers, scoring 10 goals and 17 points in 51 games.
