Sr. Hawks, Vikings win opening games of HS football season

Two Medicine Hat High School football teams kicked off their senior seasons in winning fashion.

The Medicine Hat High Hawks and Crescent Heights Vikings picked up a pair of exhibition wins Thursday night.

The Hawks beat Winston Churchill 40-0 at the Methanex Bowl.

The Vikings, playing on the road, beat the Stettler Wildcats 16-0.

The Monsignor McCoy Colts were in action Friday, hosting the Joane Cardinal-Schubert Ravens in exhibition action.

The Hawks hosts Holy Trinity Academy on Sept. 5 for a 5 p.m. contest.

The Colts and Vikings will square off the same night for the fifth annual Rick Boksteyn Bowl at 7:30 p.m.

Both games to be played at the Methanex Bowl.
