Colin Grimm of Medicine Hat was the Saturday Pro Class winner at the Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association's Points Weekend at the Drag Strip.

The Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association held three days of races to celebrate the August long weekend.
The points weekend started with a pair of races Friday, beginning with the Street class. Kelsie Epp of Cypress County took first place with Zac Henderson of Redcliff coming in second.
Cody Minor of Redcliff won the Friday Night Bike race, with Medicine Hat’s Demitri Danyluk coming in second place.
Saturday’s races kicked off with the Jr. Thunder race, won by Brain Nastiuk of Calgary. Ella Jennings of Redcliff came in second. Gray Schann of Dunmore won the Jr. Lightning race, finishing ahead of John Nastiuk of Calgary. Ryder Harrison of Raymond won the Jr. Street race, finishing ahead of John Nastiuk.
The King of the Hill race was won by Steve Campbell of Airdrie, finishing ahead of Medicine Hat’s Mark Simmons. Grayson Hubick of Raymore, Sask. won the Sportsman race, finishing ahead of Liz Thorpe of Medicine Hat. Colin Grimm of Medicine Hat won the Pro race class, with Tyler Zeller, also of Medicine Hat, coming in second.
Medicine Hat racer Mark Simmons won the Super Pro class, finishing ahead of Dunmore’s Aaron Steinkey. The Pro Bike class was won by Steve Campbell of Airdrie, Riley Toth of Medicine Hat came in second place.
Paxton Frey of Medicine Hat opened the action Sunday by winning the Jr. Thunder race. Finnegan Merkl of Brooks came in second. John Nastiuk won the Jr. Lightning class, with Ryder Harrison of Raymond finishing second. Bella Winslow of Medicine Hat won the Jr. Street class, finishing ahead of John Nastiuk.
Sherri Larson of Brooks won the Sportsman class, with Buz Buzunis of Airdrie coming in second place. The Pro Class was won by Monty Beagle of High River, Tyler Zeller of Medicine Hat came in second. The Super Pro race was won by Bruce Valk of Medicine Hat, finishing ahead of fellow Hat racer Mark Simmons. The Pro Bike Class was won by Steve Campbell of Airdrie, with Medicine Hat’s Dave Toth coming in second.
Next up at the Drag Strip is the 16th annual Mud Bog on Aug. 16.
