The Medicine Hat Tigers have six players vying for spots on national teams this summer.

Four Canadians received invites to Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence summer camps.

Goaltender Cash Christie and forward Luke Ruptash will take part in the U17 Camp this weekend, starting Saturday.

The 79 players invited will continue to be evaluated through the beginning of the 2025-26 season in preparation for the U17 World Challenge, scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 8 in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Forwards Markus and Liam Ruck will participate at the U18 camp July 29 to Aug. 1, vying for a spot on Canada’s roster for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup set for Aug. 11-16 in Brno, Czechia, and Trencin, Slovakia.

They could face fellow Tiger forwards Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll and Noah Davidson, both who were invited to U.S. Hockey’s selection camp for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The camp is July 28 to Aug. 3 in Michigan ahead of the tournament in mid-August.

Gordon-Carroll and Davidson both participated in U.S. Hockey’s National U17 Festival that ran July 8-12.

Davidson is one of the Tigers seven signings this offseason.
