sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat Manta Rays sent a bakers dozen swimmers to represent the city of Medicine Hat in Tabor over the weekend. The local swim club had 13 swimmers race at the 2025 Southern Alberta Summer Games Swim Meet in Taber on Friday and Saturday. They returned with 17 medals in individual races and a medal in a relay event. 6 and under girls Anaya Motsi finished first in 25m free and 50m back, third in 50m free and fourth in 25m back. 7-8 girls Arianna Mori finished first in 100m IM, second in 25m back and 50m back and fifth in 25m free. Sunai Motsi: Exhibition Aria Carr: Exhibition 7-8 boys Axton Carr: Exhibition 9-10 girls Saylee Mori finished first in 50m breast, second in 25m fly and third in 50m breast and 100m free. Ayla Johansen finished third in 50m back, forth in 25m back, ninth in 50m free and 11th in 25m fly. Ivana Motsi: Exhibition Zoe Peterson: Exhibition Ayslin Sanderson: Exhibition 9-10 boys Dalton Beckman finished second in 100m IM and sixth in 100m free. 11-12 girls Julie Giesbrecht finished second in 100m back, third in 50m back, fourth in 100m IM and fifth in 50m free. 13-14 girls Alexis Goffinet finished second in 50m fly, 50m back and 50m free. Relays Girls 12 and under free Relay (Julie Giesbrecht, Saylee Mori, Ayla Johansen and Arianna Mori) finished third in the 4x50m free relay. Exhibition swimmers are not counted in rankings. 27
